D: A day in the [dietary] life

My peeps, sup!?

So, because I just love all of you readers so much (and by “all” of you readers I meant the 3 people who read this ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), I decided to give some details as to what I eat in a normal day (ie today) and even show you some pictures ๐Ÿ˜€

Away we go! Oh, and I should mention that all of these pictures were taken on my blackberry, hence them looking like they were taken a digital camera that came out in 1997 ๐Ÿ˜€

5:45am – cup of coffee

1 L of water

7:00am – spin class

9:00am – protein powder goo (1 scoop protein powder, 1 tbsp dark cocoa powder, 1 tbsp pure pumpkin, 1 packet stevia…mix all together and devour because it’s delicious, I promise!)

– Vitalicious Vitatop (placed atop my goo before I ate it, obv)

(forgot to take a picture of breakfast – oops!)

11:00am – mug ofย  Second Cup Caramel Rooibos Tea

1:00pm – black bean burger

1 laughing cow light cheese wedge

2 slices of Silver Hills sprouted low calorie bread

1/2 cup edamame

(forgot to take a picture!)

2:30pm – 1/2 cup blueberries

– kashi cocoa coconut bar (AMAZING people, buy them!!)

3:30pm – sliced honeycrisp apple with cinnamon (no picture)

mug of Red Rose orange pekoe tea

6:25pm – scrambled eggs (4 egg whites, 1 omega-3 egg, spinach, 1 laughing cow cheese wedge, 25g of light feta)

– 1 slice of whole wheat bread

– 1 grapefruit

– 1 diet pepsi ( I LOVE YOU, DIET PEPSI. You are my vice โค )

The little purple book you see in the picture of my dinner is my food journal, PS! I got it for $1.00 at RW&Co and it’s the bomb! Journal your food, people (well those of you trying to trim down anyways ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Ta-ta bloggies!

Where do you get the sprouted bread? I have never heard of that before.

Hey! I get mine at Hartman’s, and I buy the Silver Hills “Little Big Bread” (it’s thin slices). They are a phenomenal company, and they sell probably 8 or 9 different kinds of sprouted bread (kamut, spelt, etc.). The other brand of sprouted bread – and this one is more widely available – is Ezekiel. They make English Muffins, bread (wheat and cinnamon raisin) and tortillas. They are great as well. Those should be available at Loblaws.

FYI, sprouted breads are kept in the freezer. Usually I find them in the freezer in the health food section the grocery store. They are a bit pricy…the silver hills stuff is about $4.50 a loaf :S Delicious, though!
